After overnighting in Aqaba, I took an early morning taxi to Wadi Rum, one of my favorite places on the trip. At the visitors center you can start a three hour trek into the desert around the area of the Seven Pillars of Wisdom, the inspiration for T.E. Lawrence´s book of the same name.
