The Temple of Hathor is the other temple at Abu Simbel and was built to honor Ramses´s favorite wife, Nefertari. In fact the three male figures on the facade represent him and the three female ones her. I can think of no other show of monumental love and devotion greater than this apart from the Taj Mahal.
